Nina Kraviz

Nina Kraviz, a DJ/producer/songwriter/vocalist from Irkutsk, Siberia, Russia, is undoubtedly one of the most unique and influential figures in the electronic music scene. She is an artist with a unique career, having switched from being a dentist to being a DJ.

In 2006, she participated in the Red Bull Music Academy, a music school held in Barcelona, Spain, where producers/vocalists/DJs/musicians selected from around the world pursue their own music, and this was the trigger for her to start her career in the electronic music scene in earnest.

In 2011, she released the single "Ghetto Kraviz," which features minimal and addictive beats and Nina's vocals, and quickly attracted international attention.

In 2012, she released her debut album "Nina Kraviz," which contains tracks with a sound that combines elements of deep house, acid techno, and ambient, making her multifaceted talent known to the scene.

Nina Kraviz has been making dance music fans dance all over the world, from the main stages of big festivals such as "Awakenings", "Time Warp", and "Sonar Festival", underground club parties, and even iconic places such as the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China, and the Gobi Desert, to historical buildings. She has captivated music fans with her experimental and bold approach and emotional expression, and her performance on stage draws the floor into the swirling waves of sound.

In addition, in 2014, she launched the label "трип (Trip)", which focuses on the trippy and acidic side of electronic music, and in 2017, she launched the offshoot label "Galaxiid", which specializes in experimental, ambient, and psychedelic music, and is also committed to discovering new artists and releasing unique compilation albums.

In a past interview, Nina Kraviz said, "I like to improvise and change the selection of songs in the DJ booth. It's risky, but it's the most fun." However, her fearlessness in taking risks and continuing to challenge her interests, musical sense, and techniques proves that she is a top DJ with a natural DJ sense.

She is also particular about fashion, and is thorough with her stage costumes and her own appearance. Furthermore, she has a firm stance against the deep-rooted sexism in the dance music scene, saying, "It is important to be recognized as an artist, not as a female artist," and continues to attract a lot of attention from various quarters.

Nina Kraviz was very active last year, releasing a remix album of "Tarde," remixed by Melchior Productions Ltd., a leading figure in the minimal house scene, in June, and "Tarde Remixes 1," a collection of remixes by Ricardo Villalobos, released on vinyl for the first time in November.
