Reimagining the raw energy of industrial, hard techno, trance, EBM, and 90s rave culture through a singular lens, French visionary I Hate Models has been igniting dancefloors worldwide—from massive festivals to the deepest underground clubs. On Friday, June 12, 2026, he finally arrives at "ACiD" in WOMB, Shibuya.

His performance is far more than just hard techno; it is a dramatic sonic experience where melancholic, soul-stirring melodies collide with destructive, high-speed kicks. It is a space where beauty and violence, ecstasy and madness intersect.

A dominant force at world-renowned festivals and platforms such as Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Time Warp, and Boiler Room, I Hate Models has earned immense support as a definitive icon of the contemporary hard techno and rave scene.

In recent years, he has continued his unstoppable momentum with the global success of his own label and event series, "Disco Inferno," in cities like Miami and Istanbul. His latest EP, Forever Melancholia, stands as a new pinnacle of modern hard techno, masterfully fusing heart-wrenching harmonies with relentless percussion.

Joining I HATE MODELS on the 2F main floor are RISA TANIGUCHI, who continues to make waves on the global stage, and ALBINO SOUND, known for constructing unique and intricate sonic environments. Together, they will dominate the floor with overwhelming low-ends and high-velocity rhythms. Furthermore, visual curation by VJ HEART BOMB and hypnotic illumination by LIGHTING AIBA will merge to craft a deeply immersive audiovisual space.

The 1F "synapse." floor hosts a powerful lineup featuring LOUIS SHANNON, ALEXANDER M, KOTONO SHIRAI, and YGCA. Bringing together the key figures driving Tokyo's cutting-edge tech-house scene, they are set to accelerate the dancefloor's energy with sharp, sophisticated club sounds.

Up on the 4F, MAMAZU, SEKITOVA, and YUVIE will take the decks. Centered around deep and alternative electronic music, their seamless, genre-blurring grooves and captivating soundscapes will invite dancers into an alternate sonic dimension.

Enhanced by WOMB’s world-class sound system, lighting, and laser production, ACiD will curate a deeply immersive atmosphere. For one night only, a modern rave space emerges in the heart of Shibuya!

In a scene choked by formulae, we need voices that cut through the noise to present something unapologetically true and devoutly non-conformist. In his singular path as an artist, I Hate Models swerves standardised structures and instead focuses on emotional response. The energy of club music serves as a vessel for his own feelings and a tool to manipulate others with. The spectrum of moods expressed – in his productions, DJ sets and on his label Disco Inferno – veers from nostalgia and passion to loneliness, melancholia and brutality, often juxtaposing darkness and light in the same pulse as an authentic conduit of his own artistic self-assessment.

On his journey thus far, IHM has released music on labels ranging from Arts to Perc Trax, who carried his 2019 album L’Âge Des Métamorphoses. He’s also remixed artists such as Depeche Mode, while his monster edit of the track 'Toro' has taken the world by storm. It's a fitting clarion call for the relentless rush of monolithic gigs he undertakes, headlining monumental global festivals such as Ultra and EDC as a top-billing emblem for the bleeding edge of hard dance and its legions of worldwide devotees.

At every turn, his disregard for expectations and conventions has resulted in dynamic, ambitious music that feasts on the flesh of techno, industrial and trance without ever becoming beholden to one source. Within the microcosm of one track, the energy can shift from bruising rhythm to swooning ambience and back again – cascades of pearlescent melody giving way to shards of sheet metal, thunderous percussion offset by softly sculpted sine waves. Unafraid of reinventing himself, he'll lean into stylistics shifts like the boldly emotive Forever Melancholia EP and make them a natural part of his artistic arc. That the further adventures of I Hate Models feel entirely open-ended is completely by design – generic constriction is the enemy of genuine catharsis.
